I am addicted to highlighters and I just can't stop buying more! If you saw my Highlighter Collection post (link to that here), you will know I already have far too many! But while I was in Sephora, two of these accidentally fell in my basket and the other my best friend got for me, you can never have enough highlighter in your life right?!
Swatched: Kylie Cosmetics Strawberry Shortcake, Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop and Too Faced Blinded by the Light.
I had never tried Kylie Cosmetics before but my friend Chelsea is always raving about her products and she surprised me and sent me one of the Kylighter's in Strawberry Shortcake. This is a stunning mid-tone warm pink highlighter that has extremely impressed me, I can't wait to get a few more of these soon as it has quickly become one of my most used. It is so well formulated as it is so soft and smooth and applies with ease with hardly any fall out. It is so glowy on the cheekbones but doesn't draw any attention to my texture or pores while being very long-lasting on the skin. I don't really own many pink highlighters but I wear this one a tonne, I find it works well with my skin tone with a similar blush shade.
As soon as I saw the Too Faced Love Light Highlighters, I knew I wanted one (mainly for the packaging I must admit) and I haven't been disappointed. This has such gorgeous and super cute packaging and the shade Blinded by the Light is perfect for lighter skin tones. This is a highlighter that takes a little to build up the intensity but this is actually one of the things I love about this product. I had heard very mixed things about this when it comes to wear time but I have always found it to wear quite well on my skin. I like to pair with this with the blush from the Sweet Peach Glow Palette most days. I recently wrote a full review on these highlighters with swatches which you can check out here.
Becca's collaboration with Jaclyn Hill is one raved about highlighter and for a good reason, it is gorgeous! Champagne Pop has a slightly different undertone from any of my lighter gold highlighters, it has a slight hint of apricot to it. I was a little worried that it would be too dark for me to use as I am very pale but I love how it looks on my skin tone. It isn't as soft as Strawberry Shortcake but it packs a punch on the cheekbones and you could probably see my highlight from space. It's extremely long-lasting once applied and I have never found it to emphasise any texture issues or my pores. I have also been mixing this with some of my other highlighters and I always love how it turns out.
