Product of the Week // Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation

Having heard nothing but good things about the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation I was very excited to try it out and see what all the hype was about. Myself and Sarah are collaborating today talking about our product of the week so go check hers out here. She has a wonderful blog and deserves so many more followers so give her a follow while you are there! This week I have been infatuated with this foundation, it may have become a holy grail product in my makeup bag already.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation
When I am looking for a new foundation, I always look at the shade range and what the coverage is like in reviews. Having extremely pale skin, I find it difficult to find a foundation that will match my skin tone, many of the foundations on the high street are far too dark even in the lightest shade options so I tend to go for higher end foundations. Charlotte Tilbury have a great shade range, I am an NC15 and I am shade 2 in the Magic Foundation. I really like that when you order the foundation from the Charlotte Tilbury website that they give you samples of the shade you have chosen and a lighter and darker shade to make sure that you have picked the right colour for your skin tone.

This is one of the only foundations that doesn't make my skin oily throughout the day, even without primer. Almost every other foundation in my collection will need touching up with powder but with this one I can go all day without touching up, perfect for extra busy days. My skin has a lot of redness which I always needed to cover up with a tonne of concealer but this foundation is all I wear now. If I still have some redness peaking through after applying the foundation I will go in with a little bit more in these areas and I am good to go. A little goes a long way with this foundation so it is going to last a long time, I use almost one pump for my face and use any extra in places I needed to cover my redness.

I would have to say that the coverage is medium to full depending on what you use to apply it. I like to use the Zoeva 104 Buffer Brush which always gives me a flawless coverage. With this foundation being a higher coverage I expected it to feel heavy on the skin and cake up around the nose and on the chin throughout the day but I was very pleasantly surprised. It feels almost invisible on the skin and doesn't cake up at all. The finish is matte but not flat if that makes sense. The main thing I love about this foundation is the way it looks on the skin. With some high coverage foundations they are easily detectable but this honestly just looks like my skin but better. If you are looking for a good coverage long lasting foundation, this is it!

The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation retails for £29.50.
