I love trying out new products on my hair. My hair is pretty damaged from the daily washing and heat use as well as the dying I put it through regularly. Pair all of that with a fear of the hairdressers and I have some pretty damaged and split ends. When I heard about the ghd Advanced Split End Therapy, I knew I had to try it, it sounded like the perfect product to restore my hair!
The ghd Advanced Split End Therapy (£19.95) is suitable for all hair types to deeply nourish, condition, hydrate and enhance the shine which lasts for up to ten washes. It claims to be a lightweight cream which is activates by the heat from your selected styling tool to prevent further breakage and repair damaged ends. I absolutely love the packaging, very luxurious, with a gold and black box and the tube of the product is completely metallic gold.
I am not overly keen on the scent I must admit, it is very perfume-y/floral based but once it is distributed into the ends of the hair it isn't an issue. I take around a 20p size of the cream and apply it through the mids to the ends of damp, towel dried, hair, paying particular attention to the ends which is where I have the most damage. I have been using this every few days, some times every day depending on how dry my hair is feeling. It is recommended that once you have blow dried your hair that you seal the product in with a ghd styler.
This is one of the nicest hair products I have used. It makes my hair, especially the ends, smooth, soft and incredibly glossy with tonnes of shine. My hair is very dull and I have never found a product that gives my hair as much shine in the ends as this does. It has restored so much hydration back into my hair and it has never felt better! I like the fact that it has heat protecting qualities so I don't have to worry so much about the amount of heat I put my hair through on a daily basis. I was worried that it would make the ends of my hair sticky and greasy but it has always left my hair feeling very lightweight. This is one of the only hair creams that doesn't make my hair sticky so it gets a big thumbs up from me!
The ghd Advanced Split End Therapy retails for £19.95 and is available from Look Fantastic - link.
